– 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
– Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 5 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/3 cup honey
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In the meantime, pat the chicken thighs dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes if you’re using them.
3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs, skin side down, and sear until the skin is golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes. Flip the chicken and sear the other side for another 3 minutes.
4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken thighs in the skillet. Use a spoon to baste the chicken with the sauce.
5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until the juices run clear and a meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C) when inserted into the thickest part of the thigh.
This dish is seriously the tastiest ever! The sauce is my favorite!
