7 Up Pound Cake

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups softened butter
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons almond (or lemon) extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup 7 Up, Sprite, or Sierra Mist
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar. Add the sugar gradually, 1 cup at a time, beating for a minute after each addition. Don’t forget to scrape the sides of the bowl to ensure everything is well incorporated.

Once all the sugar is added, continue beating for an additional 4 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract and almond (or lemon) extract, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
