Instructions:

  1. Heat the milk in the microwave for about 25 seconds. Be careful not to overheat it, as this can kill the yeast.
  2. In a small bowl, dissolve the baker’s yeast in the lukewarm milk and set aside for approximately 10 minutes.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, kosher salt, and vanilla sugar.
  4. Add the rapeseed oil to the dry ingredients and mix well. Gradually pour in the milk and yeast mixture, stirring continuously until the dough starts to come together.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is soft and homogeneous. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel, and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  7. Lightly flour your work surface. Punch down the dough and divide it into even portions, shaping them into balls. Place the dough balls into a greased baking pan, arranging them close together but not touching.
  8. Allow the rolls to rest for about 20 minutes to rise slightly. Brush the tops with a bit of milk.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
