The month of February and early March have a reputation for being unpredictable for gardeners:
The days are becoming milder and encourage us to uncover the vegetable plants which until now have been covered by winter veils. However, it would be important not to forget to cover them at the end of the day to protect them from nighttime frosts.
If you want to protect the young plants, you must lay the mulch on the surface of the soil, but make sure not to add more than is necessary! In fact, mulch that is too thick prevents the soil from evacuating cold and risks scorching plant roots.
