I was expecting my first pregnancy to be a fairytale but my reality was crushed very quickly. My husband decided to ruin it all by asking for a paternity right after breaking the good news to him but there was more to the story.
I am a 30-year-old woman, and my husband, Sam, and I are expecting our first child together. I am currently four months pregnant. I thought we were on cloud nine, but that quickly changed.

The pregnancy did not come as a surprise. We had been trying to conceive for months, but when we found out, instead of tears of joy and laughter, I received a request for a paternity test. I was very confused because, after months of trying, I didn’t expect this reaction.

I asked him why he thought I was cheating or why he even questioned the child’s paternity. However, he kept insisting that he didn’t doubt anything; he “just wanted reassurance.”

I couldn’t shake off the feeling, so I started to do some digging. I waited until he went to bed, took his phone, and started going through it. I found messages between him and his coworker, and it quickly became evident they were dating.
I realized that his late nights at work were actually spent with her. They had been away on weekends and even had a vacation planned.

The fact that this man was cheating on me while I was pregnant was shocking and heartbreaking. Why would he let us try just for him to ruin it all? So, I decided to confront him. He freaked out and tried to gaslight me by saying I was the one cheating, then continued to emphasize the DNA test. So, I said, “Sure. I have nothing to hide. I’ll prove my loyalty.”

But this man continued to shock me. He DEMANDED that I get a paternity test and PAY for it! That was when I started fuming; the smirk on his face just made me angrier. Before the argument could explode, I had a quick idea for some sweet revenge.

I agreed to do the DNA test but I found a way to get a fake paternity test and gave it to him. When I gave it to him, he was completely flustered and screamed, “What?! That means you have been cheating on me too?!” I responded, “Well, since we’re being honest, yes, I’ve been having an affair with your brother,” and watched his face turn from red to white.

I even doubled down and added, “And guess what? Your mother shared a little secret with me: the first grandchild born into the family gets the entire inheritance. Your parents are filthy rich, Sam. So, it looks like our baby is going to be set for life.”
